Day Habilitation Specialist
Description: Day Habilitation Specialist assists adults who experience developmental disabilities to work toward increased independence at home and in the community. Will teach independent living skills, provide opportunities for growth, and assistance with basic personal skills. Must also be able to work a flexible schedule.
Requirements: GED or high school diploma, current TB test, CPR & First Aid certification are required, as well as valid Alaska driver’s license and proof of current insurance. Experience working with people who have developmental, physical, cognitive, and/or emotional disabilities preferred. Degree or course work in social work, psychology, education, or related fields helpful but not required.
